The design of the computer needed 5 volts regulated at 5 amps.So here's the problem: The transformer (not shown) steps down the 117VAC to 12.6VAC. So far, so good. After it goes through the PSU and regulators, the output was 17VDC. I have no idea what was going on...but after a little research, I think I found the root cause. The machine needed 5...
