Activision have already claimed that the next COD "already looks fantastic", promising “meaningful innovations” while being “laser-focused on raising the bar with this year’s new Call of Duty”

I don't know about the rest of ye, but I call bullshit. For years now Activision have promised innovation and that the next COD will be better than it's predecessor. Yet, since COD 4 nothing has changed and not a single improvement has been made. To me Modern Warfare 2 was the closest it has came to matching the orgasmic COD 4. I do think that Nazi zombies was a good addition, kudos to treyarch, but it did not satisfy my need to tea-bag n00bs and pwn those who beleave they are "1337" ("elite" to those who are not fluent in gamer).

I beleave Activision have started hyping us up early because many gamers think MW3 was a disappointment.

Don't beleave that other gamers were disappointed?

http://www.metacriti...-3/user-reviews

This is not a critic, not a single person who just hate the series. but 4,500 gamers who express their distaste in MW3. showing the sales that COD received got were purely due to hype of the series and not game quality.

Are you sceptical on Activisions promises, or do you beleave them and think they will follow through?

I think it's wrong of companies to do this.
Instead If spending hours to hype the game they could focuse on the development and actually make it better, and satisfy their customers. Because without them they are without jobs

All of the companies should follow Blizzard example, it takes them years to make a new game, but when they release one, is amazing!

And im with you kev, since COD 4 nothing has changed, That was the last one i played, but i checked the gameplay videos and critics, and all of my friends say nothing changed.

I have played them all only to be disappointed. I think I keep buying them in hope that an improvement has been made............ still waiting..

Ive never been big on the COD games but from what I have played was way too hyped up... I personally like Quality > Quantity. To be honest the only thing my friends and I play Black Ops for was for Zombies (amazing thing that it was just a little thing they did for fun spiraled into what it is now) and occasionally multiplayer. But to be honest I've only played Black Ops and MW2 but between the two, the only difference is weapons, but when you go through, each gun is nearly identical to one in the other so not much has changed there, but Gameplay wasn't to much different in multiplayer. So I may be a noob coming at this, but that's just what I have to say about It

Agreed. look at skyrim for example, over 300 hours of shear excellence, MW3, 6 hour mediocre campaign and horrible multiplayer. Which would you rather spend your €50 on. And in 2 years time, Skyrim will be around €20 euro for the GOTY edition and MW3 will be..... still €50....

oh, I agree. Its the act that Activision don't have control is the reason why Blizzard don't produce crap. I can't really say much on Blizzard though as I am not a fan of their games, just because their genre doesn't suit my gamer style (of death, destruction, and pink fluffy things).
