I have done that, but, well to save time, my minecraft folders was by mistake deleted, and somehow wasn't completely. So now I can't find it so I can do anything. Hopefully though mojang has some sort of program that can remove everything minecraft from a computer so I can start fresh. If they do, everything will be fixed.

Force update no help?

Then the bin folder is re-downloaded.

Quick way to find the minecraft folder: start mc and press texture packs, then open the folder button.

If you are using a Mac you have no access to the texture pack folder through minecraft.
Just go to spotlight (top right on finder bar) type in minecraft then click on show all in folder.
From there you should be able to find and delete all files.
After that just re-download.There should be no issue if other files of minecraft are still present as long as you use the new one you downloaded

Mac are good, but there's two type of mac users. Mac are sorta made so that the average person can understand them and their programs easily, but their also made so that others can use them in a better way. The only problem I have with mac is, they are made a little more complicated the Windows so most people when they make programs, like recording programs and some down-loadable games, they don't make it to work on mac because it would be a lot more work.
