I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop for my birthday.I got a great deal, I got it for $814 which included a carrybag. My specs are: Time of this report: 7/5/2009, 19:50:43 Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Basic (6.0, Build 6001) Service Pack 1 (6001.vistasp1_ldr.090302-1506)           Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: Dell Inc.       System Model: Inspiron 1525                                   BIOS: Phoenix ROM BIOS PLUS Version 1.10 A16                        Processor: Pentium® Dual-Core CPU       T4200  @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs)             Memory: 2038MB RAM           Page File: 1689MB used, 2624MB available         Windows Dir: C:Windows     DirectX Version: DirectX 10 DX Setup Parameters: Not found     DxDiag Version: 6.00.6001.18000 32bit Unicode 15.4" Screen Built in Mic and WebcamYes, I use Vista, so all you Linux fans don't bag me cause I dual boot Ubuntu aswell! One week in to using it and everything is fine, except there is a bluetooth light on the side of my laptop, and when i try to use bluetooth it doesn't work, so i opened a ticket with Dell and they said you only got bluetooth support if you bought with it. Obviously I didn't, but it is stupid (in my opinion).Overall I rate my new laptop as: 8/10

Please stop bumping topics if you nothing to ask or add, this topic is 3 years old now ...

Back on topic.
I don't really know what's expensive or cheap when it comes to anything but that price sounds about right. But from the things I've been hearing, I wouldn't buy from Dell.
