Thought I'd just ramble for a bit, while I listen to Jamie rock & roll some over on Twitch, puts me in a happy mood
For starters, I've rejoined the PNX staff, since I'm clearly still here for a while, and I think I could easily help around the PNX site and servers. I especially want to help with the theme/layout/color scheme of the PNX site, at least getting it to match the main site some in terms of looking clean rather than scattered.
Why not return to JR? Well I'm still here -
October 11th, 2012
This is an extremely bittersweet goodbye. But at the same time, it isn't. Before I go anymore in-depth here, I would like to make this point crystal clear: JR is the friendliest, most helpful, most amazing whole-rounded gaming community I have ever had the honor of not only being able to call myself a member of, but also being able to say I have helped in whatever way(s) I could on a daily basis.
And that would realistically be the bitter part of the bitt
I've come to a realization recently. I realized exactly what is wrong with the economy of the United States.
See everyone is now going to college, because they have been told their entire life that they absolutely have to have a college degree in order to obtain a job. True? False. With so many people in America now possessing college degrees, they refuse to work at minimum wage - they went to college, so they have to be better than that. Well businesses look at that and just rofl. Literall
I just realized I might be able to get FTL: Faster Than Light VERY SOON!
Here's the background:
I have a bank account.
My brother does as well, at the same bank.
When he originally set it up, he had a savings account, just like me.
He recently got a ATM card, which he can also use as a debit/credit card (only pulls from his account though, isn't actually credit although he can run it as such).
I applied for the same, and received something rather weird. For starters, the numb
I have no real point in making this. Nothing in particular I want to say or get across to anyone. Just a lot of little things.
I move back into college tomorrow (actually already today for me, but I haven't gone to bed yet, so I say tomorrow), which comes with having to set myself back up (My second monitor and server (not a minecraft server; I use it for redundancy in backups and things), etc.). I like my setup a certain way.
I'm watching "The Condemned" on USA, where there are 10 peo
I'm not going to take a lot of time typing this, because its pretty straight foward.
My primary computer, my Dell Latitude D630 laptop, is finally dying. Its actually the onboard GPU that's dying (Intel), and (of course) this is happening just after I bought 8GB of RAM, a docking station/port replicator, etc. for it.
But for a laptop that should only have lived 3 to 4 years, it had a nice long run (almost 8 years now).
I'm going to have to find a new one before school (early Augu
I feel so bad. Each day for the past week I've thought I was going to get on the server, then something happens and I don't.
For example, I thought I was going to get on this afternoon, and then my dad surprises me saying he wants to dig a hole in between the rain (no, the diggy diggy hole song did not help there. We were digging up electric wires... in the rain. Yup.).
I feel like I've been gone for ages now! Seriously, it has to have been at least two weeks (or close to).
Completely reinstalled Windows, and most of my daily applications.
Major things to do stil:
Replace M$ Office
Finish downloading Steam games
Configure Firefox w/ my plugins
Make a System Image this time... XD
This said, I should be on the forums again, at least for the immediate future.
Big shoutout to Jamie, Flaw, and xemnes (sorry if I've forgotten someone there!) - the work you guys have done to the site looks amazing!
I also am in the process of moving my ema
This post assumes that you have some basic understanding of DD-WRT, or at least a general understanding of a linux kernel/directory structure.
As some of you might know, my dad forgot the password to his router about a week ago. To sum that up, we did a hard reset, and the WiFi was no longer operating (I'm betting it either died naturally after ~5 years or he shorted it while doing a 30/30/30 reset). I gave him my old router that I purchased for my dorm room last year, because I didn't wa
Long story short (I don't have a lot of time before we begin this thing), dad forgot the password to the router so we have to do a hard reset to completely wipe it out and redo everything.
I'll be back (and probably on the server) whenever we remake the entire network and get our security policy back in place XD
Oh, also I have an Uncle and my two closest nephews here at the moment (one of them is very very very little. So if I'm a bit cranky for the next week or so, I apologize
Wow, has it been a while that I've put this off now. No particular reason, I just keep procrastinating on this topic. Now seems like a good time to put it into physical context though. This is kind of to get to things off of my chest.
What has recently been happening with staff.
Everyone that has told me I should apply for a Helper position.
I'm going to start with the first one there, as I think my response to that matter can be put simply: It doesn't affect me, so I don't c
A lot of people have questioned why I haven't applied for Helper; apparently I'd be good at it. I promise I'll blog about that next, but something else has gotten me riled up that I need to scream about for now.
A quick warning for those that ignored the title - there will be some language used throughout this blog entry. I apologise in advance if you are in any way offended, however you have been warned.
Once upon a time, I used a program called BumpTop. I loved what this progr
Currently, I'm doing a couple of different things. Some relate to others, others seem completely random.
This list isn't really here for anyone to read (unless I have a stalker I don't know about.... which I hope I don't...); its really just a reminder list for me because I suck at keeping notes.
Seriously. Most people can't see their carpet through the crap? I can't see my desk through the stickies. But I digress.

I've just submitted what I've been working on for a while now, and I thought 'what the hell, I can blog about this'
As my entry post says, I wanted to get away from the general thing that a lot of people who entered seemed to be doing. xlucic17x actually joked with me in game after I spewed out the warp, saying something about having competition now.
No wait, he said something about having 'compebadwordion now'. Yeah, that's what it was. XD
Either way I don't ca
As the title might give away, I generally suck at maintaining blogs. Oh sure I'm pretty decent at creating them and writing with legible English, but that's assuming I remember to write in the damned thing.
So I'm going to start this blog here, with the goal of writing in it at least once a week. This does not mean I will limit myself to once a week, but I must write in it at least once every week from now on.
Why? Well I just think it'd be interesting to see my thoughts from a year ag
