For a long time Samsung has been at the top of the Android market and this phone shows us why. The S6 has ditched the plastic look of previous models and has a new glass case. This phone doesn’t only perform well on the inside as others before it have, but also looks good on the outside - fixing one of Samsung's longest lasting criticisms. They also haven’t been shy of adding additional features, one of the biggest new features is superfast and wireless charging. With the S6 you can use your phone for 4 hours with just 10 minutes charge, making it less likely that you will run out of battery too quickly. The camera has also had huge improvements, long gone are the days of having to wait multiple seconds to take a quick photo, the S6 takes only 0.7 seconds to load. The camera also produces much better images than any previous models and has been upgraded to a new 16MP camera, also capable of shooting in 4k.
As you can see, you certainly wouldn't be short of reasons to get the S6, but there are some downsides. Many Samsung users (including myself) have enjoyed the ability to replace batteries when they come to the end of their useful life, rather than getting a new phone. This feature has been removed from the latest model in an attempt to slim it down and improve design. Expandable memory has also been removed, yet another feature many users have taken advantage of in the past. The final big issue with the phone is cost, whilst the phone has some great features, I would dispute whether it is good value for money. Fortunately it is set to get cheaper after disappointing profits, how much cheaper, we still don’t know.
Overall this model seems to have made moves to attract a more mainstream crowd to compete better with the iPhone. If you can get over the lack of expandable memory, and inability to replace the battery, this could well be the phone for you. Overall it has some fantastic features and would be my personal favourite out of those currently available.
