  2. Currency mod

    I was wondering if anyone would agree with my idea as well. I personally prefer playing on the island map, but that's just me, however i still love to get the Aberration dinos. So my idea was what if a currency mod is introduced where you can get some for of currency from killing dinos, crates or whatever and that currency can be used to buy stuff from other people or in this case buy aberration dinos either from members or admins. Obviously a price chart can easily be created or a market of some sorts. Don't know what you guys think, I just believe it would be fun to be able to buy stuff from each other without having the issue of either farming tons of resources to trade it for something or having to find high level dinos just to trade them for an egg or so.

    Cool! Tomorrow morning i'll have a look at what mods are available and will list some of the good ones to see what might be best and what is preferable. I do think most mods are global but of course i'll check to see what's being used most and what info is provided

    Sorry took some time to reply. Work has been crazy. There are several currency mods around. I can have a deeper look this weekend if interested. Depends on what the plan is. I know that some currency mods have to be managed by just admins while some you can be find currency in crates or killing dinos.
  6. After spending a couple of days playing on the server i definitely agree that the cap level should be 100 and instead get an increase in engrams with every level. Reason being that since it's near vanilla, getting levels is a challenge on it's own. so reaching 100 is already a great achievement. going beyond that would be much more difficult which means getting more engrams would be practically impossible since it would take forever. Hopefully more would join the server and help figure things which i might have missed.

  8. JR Ark PVP - It's coming

    As i mentioned before. i really look forward to this. should be a fun experience as long as the community works together (as in no trash talk). I agree with my friends that it should have high rates for taming/breeding and resource gathering. since it's pvp you're expected to lose both buildings and dinos so the high rates would help encourage people to rebuild instead of giving up. Mod suggestions that come to mind are Bore Water Kit - so people can build wherever they like instead of being stuck to a water source. Mini Industrial Forge so that you can build comfortably without having to house a huge Forge around your base. As Jonesy mentioned a meat spoiler would be useful as well, and maybe Utilities Plus would be useful as well. I do not recommend kibble table or the tek stuff from S+. reason for this being that Tek should still remain something that can be achieved through hard work and dedication not an easy thing. Plus the kibble table even though useful, not necessarily important as if the taming rates are high kibble won't be needed, not to mention dinos will die at some point so no use in trying to get a perfect dino if it'll eventually get killed. Apart from all that i do believe that the structure damage rates should be changed. During the week it should be made more difficult to do structure damage and during the weekend it should be made easier. Reason is most people work during the week which leaves them extremely vulnerable to attacks, and even though all is fair in war it still doesn't make sense to attack someone who is at work. which is why if someone decides to still attack an offline person, this way they would have to use a whole lot of resources to do it, while during the weekend most people could be online and as such it would be the best opportunity for raids and defence. I do not think offline raid protection makes sense due to the reason that if there is a two man tribe and one of them is working, the other cannot log on to farm or build as that would leave him vulnerable to attacks and makes him a much easier target. The reasoning behind my suggestions is to keep pvp as fair as possible, so not everyone would agree with me which is fine, but offline raiding or having a large tribe attacking a one man tribe is just pure cowardice in my opinion.   11. Everything a community could ever need! There's the main Castle with it's walls where one could also find a Hatchery, Stable for Ovis & Equus as well as a Large Storage both for Herbivores and Carnivores. At the back of the Castle facing the ocean there's the Pier with different ships and a small room for storage and Pirates/Sailors to drink and hang. To the right there's the Aviary to store birds such as Pteras & Argys along with a couple of basic stuff for anyone who likes to work or spend time there having also a small hatchery to breed & hatch birds. In front of the base, there's a bridge which leads to a small village surrounded by spikes for protection, having 7 small houses to be rented for people along with a Tavern for people to relax and have fun, a blacksmith to buy and fix all kinds of armor and weapons, a Saloon to get a haircut, a fishing pier for anyone who wants to buy fish or spend time fishing as well as an Apothecary or anyone who requires Brews and Potions. PS. There is the intention to expand further for house Quetzals, Gigas, Brontos etc.. maybe even more houses if people decide to join and play along The Main Castle.zip Base Interior.zip
