  1. I didn't think about it earlier on, but you actually did that back in July; not a few weeks ago mate.
  2. Speaking from personal experience, he's not there until he is singing, playing the guitar, and yelling at Kev to get on the XBox to play with him. Also, panda because Red Pandas are adorable little killing machines. Probably why Pabu is based off a red panda and a ferret.
  3. Most likely not. I know the bigger forums like PMC do not tolerate that at all, as otherwise everyone and their aunt would have massive 5000px wide advertisements for their server. It would depend on what forum you're on as to if they allow it or not, but I would more readily assume that it isn't permitted on most forums (most communities don't like users coming in trying to steal their memberbase away to another's community).
  4. At the point where they're linked like that, it makes more sense for managing it to have multiple worlds, where one is survival and another is creative, rather than two independent servers.
  5. There's actually 15 of them. http://pnx.jrnetwork.net/serverstatus.php
  6. Censorship leads to Copyrights. Copyrights leads to Close-source thinking. That's not progress. Progress is open-source code. Open-source code makes the Linux Kernel work. Know what the Linux Kernel makes work? Fucking everything. Printers, Soda machines, traffic control units, etc. Linux FTW. Here's a pretty graphic you can use too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Linux_kernel_ubiquity.svg #Trolled #PossiblyActuallyHelpful? #Doesn'tMatter,HadTroll EDIT: Oh wait, you wanted some examples of why it is bad too. Well that's easy enough from the remnants of the SOPA Blackout. http://www.sopastrike.com/ http://www.sopablackout.org/ Of course, there's also better sources for more current examples. But I'm not going to be helpful there, because the internet at large already is.
  7. I've not made any apps, but I wrote the ROM my phone (and my dad's, brother's, and sister's phone) is/are running... does that count? Also, I believe this is the app page on Google Play (correct me if I'm wrong), hopefully that means others will look at it (since there are LOTS of people that surprisingly can't be bothered to search on that (though I can't blame them, Google seems to play favourites)).
  8. As I'm continuing to work on the server, I've actually found multiple loopholes and problems in the way TeamSpeak handles permissions (thanks TeamSpeak Devs! ... >_>) and therefore certain things like temporary channels have been further locked down -- they can only be created as a subchannel of the Gaming Lobby, the Public Development channel, or the Public Donators/Premium channel (and you have to be in those channels to make a subchanel of them). The other things I've had to alter from previously stated and am still working on will come in another edit/update to this thread at some point (hopefully soon).
  9. If you've not been on the TeamSpeak server yet today, you'll notice Caly and I pulled rank on a few issues that people kept saying should be changed, and we were already considering for a good while. First off, no Staff Offices exist anymore -- the purpose of TeamSpeak is to SPEAK with your TEAM whilst playing games. If you're just idling while playing games or working on things, you are possibly better off quitting TeamSpeak (possibly even uninstalling it) and going about your game with it closed. This is final, and no staff office will be created going foward. Furthermore on that note, the Admin Channels have been nicely redone (the entire Perms system has been overhauled as of late as well) -- only JRTX Helpers and higher will be able to enter the Admin Channels, and anyone in the Admin\AFK/Idlers room can't be seen by anyone not a JRTX Helper or higher. The other channels should be self explanitory. As always, you can create temporary channels anywhere you want on the server, which will automatically remove themselves once everybody in them has left (so if you want a private channel for just you and one other for a temporary session or meeting, you can do so -- you can even password lock it if everyone joining isn't a JRTX Helper or higher). Secondly, the auto-assignment system has been working for a few weeks now, and we've not noticed any major bugs anymore, so it's completely live. NOBODY is to assign any server rank to anybody going foward -- if you aren't marked as a staff on the TS server, it's because you haven't registered on the JRTX site and linked your TeamSpeak UID. (If you need assistance with this, you can always email me at my JR email (Tim[at]JRNetwork.Net), or Caly, and either one of us can help you with whatever issues you're having) On that note, your rank with the JRTX site is not dictated by your current rank on the JR site -- we already have misalignments such as Caly not being marked as an Owner on both sites, though Jamie is, so we will assign ranks as we see fit as well (If you only play Minecraft, you're not really a JRTX Admin, helping to Administrate the Steam servers now, right?) Third, the Public Gaming channels have all been condensed -- having ones for individual channels made little sense with the amount of people utilizing the server versus the amount of people actively using each individual channel; going foward there are just Group channels, and a Lobby -- if you're getting a group together to play something (and you're not in a Private Group, with predefined channels), just find an empty Public group and join it. And again, as always, you can make temporary channels if needed/wanted, and even password lock them so nobody but Staff can get in without you giving them the password. Finally, the Private Groups are also very overgrown; all the Private Groups will (over the course of the next week) be set to the following structure: [Main Private Group Channel, Name of Group] (Name of Game) -AFK -Party 01 -Party 02 -Raid 01 -Raid 02 -Officers This is all that's usually neccessary for even the most vast operations. If there is a significant need for additional channels in private groups, they can always be readded. That said, that will only be the case if they will be utilized a majority of the time -- Temporary channels can ALWAYS be created, and those clean themselves up, so where we don't need excess empty channels, they just make the server look more empty than it actually is. In particular, the Ascendents and TeOz channels will be cleaned up in this manner -- especially since the TeOz Channels are honestly being used less than 3 days out of an entire month thus far. On top of cleaning up the amount of channels (quantity), I will personally be cleaning up their quality. Thus far, many are still open and unprotected. Others put a password lock on all of their channels, which is the hard way of going about it. We now have a permissions blanket in effect. This means that all ranks, both Server and Channel based, have a predefined number that outlines their basic permissions. This means that Private Groups can be set such that only those marked by that Group's staff will be able to enter the channel at all (not including Server Staff of course), ensuring that people who should otherwise be using the Public Gaming channels don't inadvertantly use the Private Groups instead because they don't know better. The permission blanket is pretty simple, for anyone curious: 95 == JRTX Owners 80 == JRTX Founders 75 == JRTX Administrator 70 == JRTX Moderators 65 == JRTX Grief Police 60 == JRTX Helpers 20 == JRTX Premium 15 == JRTX Donators 10 == JRTX Members 05 == JRTX Registered 00 == JRTX Guest -1 == Server Banned 50 == Channel Owners 45 == Channel Founders 40 == Channel Administrators 35 == Channel Moderators 30 == Channel Grief Police 25 == Channel Helpers 21 == Channel Premium 16 == Channel Donator 11 == Channel Member 06 == Channel Registered 00 == Channel Validating -1 == Channel Banned This might appear to be skewed towards channel groups, but keep in mind that channel perms only take effect in the channel and subchannels where you're marked with that perm. For this reasoning, all channel permissions for private groups should be listed in the root group channel (so that they automatically apply in all the subchannels), and that will control only Private Groups being able to get in their channels. By the same token, when not in their channels, they don't have a higher power than the JRTX groups (so you still have to be a JRTX Donator in order to join the JRTX Donator channel! That should be all the changes thus far, as well as your fair warning with all the changes to come over the next week; if I've forgotten something I'll come back and update the post, and if you guys have any questions, as I said, you can ask myself or Caly (we're almost always hanging around TeamSpeak, and if you want to email me privately instead, you are always welcome to do so (Tim[at]JRNetwork.Net). You should not attempt to send me a PM on the JR site however; I'm not on here very often during the day at all, and therefore will likely miss a message on here.

  11. Happy Birthday, you old whale you. Miss ya!

  12. Coulda told me you'd put it in, simple enough to do; I done it for ya there @Gilles, @TeOzFrAnK: Come and get it!
  13. Regretfuly, you failed to present an option for "I have no idea who either of these teams are. I am not a sports fan to any degree." so I cannot participate in this poll.
  14. Wait, I actually won that? #WINNING! (Read: My bad, haven't been around in a couple of days.) Already own CoH GotY (I think, have it and a bunch of the DLC, but either way, have it), Metro 2033, and Supreme Commander (though not Forged Alliance)... now to see which ones I can play natively on Linux if any :3 Hrm, according to the Steam plugins, I actually own Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 - Uprising? Weird... Oh huh, look at that, I do, I just missed it in the Steam Library, fdlol! Serious Sam 3: BFE is the only one on that list that I don't own and is a Linux game, so I'd like that one please! Thanks Carter! Bit worried about the GPU requirments, being I'm on a toaster by comparrison, but I've made similar things work before, so should be able to --------------------------------------- I'd also like to makea semi-PSA for anyone looking at Max Payne 3; just a warning, not a huge deteriant, it uses 3rd Party DRM, Rockstar Social Club, in case anyone was looking at that but not aware.
  15. Not sure if Winning statement or really creapy suggestion...
