The new YouTube player shows a cleaner interface. If you usually watch videos during a break at the office or at home, you might have noticed something different. Google has changed the player controls bar, now this bar instead of being solid is translucent. This new design looks cleaner and its more in line with the company current standard. Well in this post, I'll be showing the tips and tricks to perform a good search on google. Here are some tricks you can use for searching on google. When searching on google you can use these to find specific articles or pages you want to find. site : You use this in front of a link to search for pages only on that site. An example is site:jrnetwork.net ~ : This is used to find related words. An example is ~college. So it's going to find related words such as 'higher education' and 'University' " " : Use these to find the exact phrase, (doesn't find individual words). An example is "Minecraft" - : This is used to exclude a term from a search. An example is -Minecraft. .. : You use this time search for result with an time frame. An example is 2002..2010 And If you want to search all of that in one go it'll look a bit like this: site:jrnetwork ~tutorial "google" -minecraft 2011..2012 ___________________________________________________________________________________ Searching for a specific file? Well this is how to do it! filetype : This is used to find a specific file type you want. An example is filetype:pdf intitle : You use this to show only results that has that word in the title. An example is intitle:Jrnetwork * : You use this to replace a word with common terms. An example is *swallow (It will now search for all the types of swallows. And If you want to search all of that in one go it'll look a bit like this: filetype:pdf Birds intitle:birds *swallow ___________________________________________________________________________________ Need to find what someone wrote? Well this is how to do it! author : Use this to search all documents by this person. Make sure to put the last name.
