  3. As if we didn't already know, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been extremely successful for CD Projekt RED, with reviewers and fans alike creaming over it. But just encase you didn't know, The Witcher 3 has sold over 6 million copies in as little as 6 weeks. Now that's bloody impressive! According to the latest financial results from CD Projekt RED, the game has been selling extraordinarily well, both digitally and in-stores, and at the current rate will likely surpass expected sales figures for 2015. The company have also earned 237 million PLN ($63.3 Million) in net profit for the first half of 2015.
  4. Good evening fellow Survivors and Adventurers of the interwebsTonight I am writing about a game in which I've currently spent 145 hours venturing far and wide in a prehistoric world after being stranded on an island inhabited by history's most interesting yet horrifying and largest family of Predator / Prey to walk the earth we know so well As the title says I am speaking about ARK: Survival Evolved Ark: Survival Evolved is an action-adventure survival game that uses a first person perspective, with the ability to use a third person perspective depending on player preference and choice. The Goal of the Game is to survive, and to do this players must establish a base, make friend or foe and use the thermal system to their advantage by creating fire's and clothes to protect them from the Brisk temperatures of the dark and rainy nights whilst also taking advantage of the rainy cycles and rivers / Oceans of the island to maintain their hydration The game itself also offers additional activities, such as taming and feeding the beasts that roam the worlds map which is also known as the "Ark". The Ark is approximately 48 square kilometers in size which totals up to approximately 36 square kilometers of land mass, with 12 square kilometers of ocean. To build a base, players must gain structure components—such as floors, doors and windows—which are earned as they progress and gain levels. These components can be crafted, and placed in the world. Players can create any structure, as long as they have the logistics and resources; the structural integrity of the building is compromised when the pillars and foundations are destroyed. Players can also craft items in the game, such as weapons, which can be achieved by collecting the resources and technology required for crafting. In addition, players can craft and attach accessories to their weapons, such as a scope or flashlight for a pistol or machine gun. Should players take damage, their health meter will gradually regenerate if they have consumed the necessary food, or if they craft items that regenerate the health meter at a faster pace. There are sixty types of dinosaurs in the game. The dinosaurs in the game can be tamed by feeding it food. Once a dinosaur is tamed, players have access to the dinosaur's abilities, such as flight or fast underwater / land movement, as well as its statistics, such as speed, health and damage. When the access to these abilities are gained, players lose control of their personal weapons but gain control of a much larger and more destructive weapon (that being their beast of choice) So what will you do? "Remember you don't have to run fast, Just faster than your friends"
  5. So yet another day has come to light where Ubisoft bring forward yet another addition to the assassins creed family with the introduction to the next main entry in the long-running Assassin’s Creed franchise which has now been confirmed as Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, the title was previously known through content leaks as Assassin’s Creed Victory. Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set to launch this fall on October 23rd 2015 and will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC has been listed as "Holiday 2015" With this new installment Assassin's Creed Syndicate brings the franchise into the modern era Set in 1868 London at the height of the Industrial Revolution, The story of Syndicate follows the twin sibling assassins Jacob and Evie Frye in their battle to gather the city’s criminal underground to lead them in dealing with a known threat throughout the franchise and to reach their victory of overthrowing the ruling Templar power. The "Syndicate" in which the title refers to will ultimately be players’ goal: to create their own criminal syndicate. A Syndicate is a group of individuals or organizations combined to promote a common interest which in this story is to bringing down the Templars Although some story missions are designed for either Jacob or Evie, most of the time you’ll be able to choose which twin to play as. Both have their own skill trees, offering up two unique individuals to develop. At their disposal will be new systematic vehicles, which can be hijacked Grand Theft Auto-style as well as used to cause diversions, and the Arkham-esque rope launcher. Developers of Assassin's Creed Syndicate has been created with the main focus of bringing the stealth-action series back to its roots and focus on the core single-player experience this meaning that the game will not have a multiplayer component ( To find out further information I have linked to a report from GameSpot) http://www.gamespot.com/articles/everything-we-know-about-assassin-s-creed-syndicat/1100-6427215/ The Official site has also been listed below http://assassinscreed.ubi.com/en-GB/purchase/assassins-creed-syndicate.aspx?ncid=22-3836-None--2-eml-31-29-ACS_Announcement--1-1-8-0515
  6. Good morning / afternoon or even evening to all fellow JR'ians so without the introduction of my name is Frosty, how are you (insert reader name here), what are you doing today, play any new games recently, awesome how was your dinner last night, did you sleep well and all that lada dadda stuff - I being my mischievous and overly excited!!!! little snowman that I am would like to stir up a little excitement for a developing (note it says developing) idea here within JR Network. Let’s start off by mentioning that our community (yes that is all of you people, yes you right there, I see how you're tilting your head in confusion, or maybe now shaking it in disappointment for being so silly) is amazing let’s be honest without stroking any egos, our member base are loyal, honest and dedicated, we strive to further expand how we operate within the community as a hold, we began to ask ourselves the question "what can we do to show that we appreciate our members, how can we say thank you for the past, present and future memories?" So okay? Okay Even in itself that is a great question, but it's not enough to work with the way we want to do, so let’s think deeper.... hmm... any idea's ladies and gents?... nope need more time okay... (time passes) Ahaha!! We got it, you're going to love this, take notes! this will be good "how can we create something for the members and say our own little thank you by making their time in our community more personal and more enjoyable to suit their own hobbies and gaming experiences" Now we feel like we're onto a good thought, so we stuck our heads together deep within the unknown areas of JR's mind (known as JR Staff skype discussion, Or just JRSSD for short) and have come to a decision that within the coming weeks we will start to give back through events, competitions and mere give always (socially called Freebies) no strings attached you stick around you get rewarded, you're new here you may also get a reward, there may be multiple up for offers all depends what we have. We will always try to reach out to all corners of our community and give prizes of different reason We will be giving back to the community that has carried us, built us to be what we are and even in doing this we will never be able to show our appreciation to its fullest as a team Lets mention a tiny little bit about what Gifts can vary between - short answer - anything and everything within budget such as · Steam Games · Console Games · Audio books · Merchandise · Discounts · Beta Codes and much more to be decided We will hold polls now and then with gifting options and community can assist with the decisions too I hope you're all as excited as we are to be bringing new Idea's forward and look forward to many more years here at JR Network Sinceriously The JR Staff Team
  7. In case any among you are not yet aware, there is a new game that is going to be released on Steam tomorrow (September 14th; link is to the app page on Steam), and it is (in my opinion) brilliantly amazing! Its called "FTL: Faster Than Light", and it is a space game in which you command a ship. Instead of the average 'fighter' style spaceship game however, FTL does a nice job of making it seem more like a game of SimCity. TotalBiscuit has done a play-through (see video below) and simultaneous review of FTL, and he says that it "feels like a game of XCOM at times (the original, not the remake)". Basically you are carrying data that is vital to the remaining Federation fleet. You have to make it past a bunch of galaxies to deliver this data safely, and the Rebels are in constant pursuit from behind you (so you can't take your time and explore every sector to the max). Each time you warp to a new sector you meet a random encounter; its sort of like D&D in that each encounter is slightly randomized and when (read: IF) you win each battle, you gain a bit of 'scrap', which can be used a currency and use that to purchase upgrades for your ship (from a menu, only for things like power and performance) and equipment (such as new weapons) when you come across shops. I personally will be looking to buy this as soon as I'm able (it only costs $10 USD), but I am a sucker for games like this (XCOM or SimCity based games)... XD UPDATE: The game will be on sale at 7am September 14th, EST. Technically today for me, but it may/may not be depending on where you live. :3 Also, it says here that the game will cost $9.99 USD on Steam, GOG.Com, and their website (depending on how you would like to purchase it), and that there will be a 10% discount for the first week that it is out! (I do not know if the quote of $9.99 USD includes this discount and it will go up later, or if it will only be ~$8.99 USD for the first week and then be $9.99 USD after; I only know it says there will be a discount for the first week)
